Autistic traits that are strengths

I prefer to use a strength based approach when working with neurodivergent children. Of course I need to work towards improving a child’s deficits or difficulties, but what parent wants to hear everything that their child is behind in or can not do all the time?? Not me! It is also important to point out to parents a child’s strengths whether it be strong motor skills, good reading comprehension, strong receptive language skills, or any skill a child has mastered! Here are some autistic characteristics that are strengths! I hope you find this helpful!
