Creating an Inclusive Environment

Creating inclusive environments for our neurodivergent children is important! Here are some tips for doing just that:

  1. Promote Inclusion with the language you use, behavior and attitude you display

  2. Educate yourself by learning about the different types of neurodiversity and help reduce misunderstandings

  3. Foster Communication for neurodivergent children to express their needs, preferences and concerns

  4. Provide the best environment by offering accommodations (sensory supports, alternative communication)

  5. Challenge Stigmas by speaking out against bullying and discrimination
