No one knows your child better than YOU! I always tell my parents to “trust your gut” and if a professional is not listening to you find one who will! I consider the parents of my clients to be experts on their child and I value their input. My sessions are open for parents to observe and I enjoy coaching and empowering parents to to feel confident in assisting their child with carry over of speech and language in the home environment. I value parents input and consider them an important part of the team.

Lia Douglas is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with 29 years of experience, specializing in neurodivergent-affirming speech therapy practices. Over five years ago, she founded Beach Speech Pediatric Therapy in Gulf Shores, AL, where she provides compassionate, individualized care to children and their families. Lia is deeply passionate about fostering inclusivity and equipping families with positive, affirming strategies to support their children’s unique strengths and communication needs.
