What special interests can look like

l've shared previously about special interests! I can picture that one client who is always holding an object in his hand, the one who ONLY plays with Lightening McQueen and toys from The cars ,and the child who talks about his favorite video game ALL the time which happens to be Fortnite! The young adult who is passionate about politics and war and spends time advocating and is greatly affected by social injustice. The client who knows every dinosaur name and all their facts, and the little one who LOVES colors and numbers! I always use special interests in my sessions because WHY NOT?

That is their current passion and if I'm going to be child led then that means supporting their special interests! Special interests often turn in to career paths, jobs or volunteer positions.
